BLVD claims prestigious award at World Luxury Hotel Awards

Best Luxury Hotel in Europe

The BLVD Blackpool has only been around for a few years but it has already won plenty of admirers and has just been named as the best luxury hotel in Northern Europe after scooping the award at the World Luxury Hotel Awards. Luxury travellers voted for a number of top-end hotels at the awards and top hoteliers from across the globe gathered at the ceremony which was held at the Grand Hyatt Athens. Over 2000 hotels were nominated at the high profile awards ceremony and in order to be deemed eligible, their evaluations were based on presentation, luxury and service delivery as well as customer feedback. This was the 17th year of the awards ceremony and votes are cast by over 300,000 industry players and hotel guests.

Other UK Winners

Other hotels in the UK receiving awards include The Caledonian in Edinburgh (Best Luxury Historical Hotel), The Waldorf Astoria in London (Best City Luxury Hotel) and the Barnsley House Hotel near Cirencester (Best Luxury Spa Hotel).

One-of-a-kind

General Manager of the BLVD Hotel, Klaus Spiekermann, said: “BLVD is truly one-of-a-kind and being awarded in this way is testament not only to our wonderful surroundings, but to the dedication of our teams who consistently offer luxury to our guests.

Special Destination

“While still a relatively new offering, being named the best luxury hotel in Europe confirms the unique and special destination we have built. Our intention has always been to set a new standard for luxury and this award means a great deal as we continue to establish ourselves as one of the UK’s – and now Europe’s – leading destinations.”
