Calls for Blackpool Pleasure Beach to be free for entry
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is one of the top attractions in the UK with many thousands enjoying the thrilling rides each year and there have been calls for the venue to once again allow the general public entry for free with the only charge being for the rides themselves.
Calls for Blackpool Pleasure Beach to be free to enter
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is still one of the most popular seaside attractions in the UK, however it used to be far busier with anyone allowed to enter for free and charges only made for the rides themselves. Many believe that the admission charge should be scrapped and the gates opened to all once again.
Huge pull for tourists
Residents and visitors alike in the UK’s premier seaside resort have called on the Iconic Blackpool Pleasure Beach to change how they charge visitors to the attraction. Opened over 100 years ago, the theme park is a huge pull for tourists and is an iconic fixture on the Blackpool skyline, however many have been backing calls for a return to free entry to the Pleasure Beach which came to an end in 2009. Prior to this, anyone could gain free entry to the park and pay only for the rides themselves, however the venue has confirmed that the entry charge will remain firmly in place and has defended the decision to increase the cost of the season [ass for 2025 from £189 to £225.
Far quieter
Many are far from convinced that this is the best way forward with some suggesting that they won’t be returning to Blackpool Pleasure Beach in future. Indeed, many locals and visitors stopped going to the park when they started charging for general admission and it is clear to see that the place is far quieter than it was prior to the entry charge being introduced.
