Situated slap bang in the centre of town, SEA LIFE Blackpool is one of the hottest tickets around. Here you can go on an underwater adventure and discover a world of spectacular aquatic creatures across many dazzling displays. This place is packed with over 2,500 different species and the displays will excite visitors of all ages.

Make sure you pay a visit to the massive ocean tank where you will be witness to a unique underwater view of some amazing aquatic animals from a maze of tunnels. Watch out for the 100-year-old Giant Lobster or the Guitar Shark, so called because its shape resembles a guitar! Other highlights here include the Octopus, Clownfish, Jellyfish, Sting Rays, Sea Turtle and tropical sharks.

Watching these wonderful creatures being fed is the highlight for many visitors, therefore make sure and ask a member of staff for the feeding times. Alternatively, get even closer by snorkelling with the sharks. This is a once in a lifetime experience with visitors able to enjoy a 20 minute snorkel with some of the magnificent sharks. This includes a full instructional briefing and all relevant equipment. An additional charge applies for this snorkelling experience.

Aside from the huge variety of aquatic wildlife, there’s much more to see at SEA LIFE Blackpool. You can enjoy a range of sets which have been created around man made wrecks to attract marine life of many forms. You can also find information about local wrecks around the coats of Blackpool and Fylde, the most notable of these being that of HMS Foudroyant which was once the flagship of Nelson himself and which ran aground during a fierce storm in 1897.
