Blackpool has long been a favourite holiday destination for families of all ages with a wealth of family-orientated attractions and events, however few can match the Sandcastle Waterpark which has been a favourite for many years.

Opened in 1986, Blackpool’s Sandcastle Waterpark has long been one of the town’s most well-loved family attractions and it continues to attract a huge number of visitors annually. This venue features no less than 18 water slides including the longest roller coaster indoor water slide in the world, as well as the Sidewinder – the world’s first indoor vertical drop water slide.

There are many other family attractions such as  the Typhoon Lagoon Wavepool, the Shimmerin Shallows and the Ushi Gushi Action River. For younger kids, there is a wide range of water cannons and mini slides as well as the Caribbean Storm Treehouse which is an interactive adventure play area.
