Blackpool Lightpool Festival Date and Times

Blackpool is famous for a great many things and one of the most popular events takes place later this month with eight nights of spectacular light displays.

The ever popular annual light art trail returns to Blackpool later this month, the Lightpool Festival featuring some amazing new installations which will once again be dotted right along the seafront as well as key locations in the town centre. The eight-day displays will light up the town between 20th and 28th October 2023, slap bang in the middle of the school holidays. The spectacular display will include projections onto some of the main landmarks in town such as the world-famous Blackpool Tower and it will run alongside the Blackpool Illuminations which themselves last until 1st January 2024.

Lightpool will also feature 3D projection displays, activities for all the family and live performances. The best news of all is that you don’t need to buy a ticket in order to attend the show, it’s completely free!!!

Those travelling by car are advised to arrive early or alternatively, consider parking further out of the centre and taking public transport to the Tower Headland for the event. Many roads around Sandcastle and South Pier have free parking available all day and these are also ideally situated for the Starr Gate end of the Blackpool Illuminations and Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
