Blackpool Transport launch new routes

Blackpool Transport are increasing frequencies on many key routes within their network with extra direct connections and more travel choices, the new bus network having been launched on Sunday, January 7th 2024.

The new year brought positive changes for Blackpool Transport passengers with the introduction of ‘reimagined’ new bus routes throughout the area. The bus routes have now been grouped together to provide more connectivity and options for passengers using the services, as well as an increased frequency on some routes. The group has introduced and published new timetables which highlight the improved reliability of the existing routes as well as information regarding the new services which include connections to Whitehills Business Park and the increasingly popular Blackpool Zoo.

All of these transport improvements are eligible for the £2 Fare Cap which was introduced by the UK Government and as such, all of the fares on Blackpool Transport are still available at the same excellent value.

The new routes across the Fylde region mean that there are many more options for travel between the most popular destinations as well as much improved reliability. This will affect the 300,000 customers which travel each week between Blackpool, Fleetwood, Lytham and Preston.

The dedicated Blackpool Transport ‘street team’ have been visible across the network for the past few weeks, interacting with customers and giving out leaflets highlighting the changes whilst wearing their bright distinctive hoodies.
