Blackpool Pleasure Beach has long been one of the UK’s leading theme parks and the Lancashire attraction has now beaten Disneyland Paris in the world rankings.

The Pleasure Beach at Blackpool has won numerous accolades over the years and the theme park has now been named as one of the most popular in the world. The park, located on Ocean Boulevard, came an impressive sixth in the list of the average amount of internet searches each month. It beat the likes of PortAventura in Spain, Six Flags Magic Mountain in California and even Disneyland Paris.

With the half-term holidays now upon us and most travel restrictions at an end, theme parks are once again coming to the fore with plenty on offer to the whole family. There has been a huge increase in the number of internet searches for theme parks worldwide and Alton Towers came out on top with regard to the highest average monthly search volume.

Of the best and most popular theme parks in the world, five are in the USA while two are in the UK.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is generally seen as the most intense amusement park in the country, the 42 acre site being home to no less than ten roller coasters, five water rides and a grand total of 125 other rides.
