The World Fireworks Championships draws huge crowds to the famous promenade each year and this year’s event was a resounding success with some fantastic displays over three days. 

 

World Fireworks Championships

Thousands of spectators line the Tower Headland and nearby seafront each September and October to see the famous World Fireworks Championships each year and the 2024 event was once again a massive crowd-pleaser with three amazing displays from the participating nations. The first of the three thrilling shows was undertaken by Navajo Art pyrotechnics team and they won the Championships for Poland who beat off fierce competition from Finland and the USA.

 

Fabulous display from winners

The judges for the competition described Poland’s display as ‘fabulous’ and heaped praise on many aspects such as the use of the national colours and the synchronisation to the music throughout the display. Navajo Art are well known for providing spectacular firework displays across Europe and also Central America.

 

Synchronised to music

All three displays at the 2024 World Fireworks Championships were synchronised to music and took place in front of the Tower Headland, right in front of the iconic Blackpool Tower. The attendance for each of the three events was estimated at around 50,000 and the thrilling show was once again completely free to attend with no ticketing required.

 

2025 dates
