New East Stand plans for Blackpool FC to be submitted

Plans for the construction of a new East Stand at Bloomfield Road are to be submitted in December, while the development of community pitches will get underway early next year.

New East Stand

Blackpool FC are hopeful that permission will be granted for the construction of a new East Stand at their Bloomfield Road home, the club progressing with the design of the new stand with architects appointed in order to progress with the planning application. This will be submitted in November 2024 and it is hoped that the development can get underway soon after.

Second phase

This is the second phase of development for Bloomfield Road and it involves some demolition work on existing properties and garages. Indeed, sixteen properties on Henry Street have now been acquired while there are agreements in place for the acquirement of two more and further plans to purchase three more. Demolitions of garages will soon start.

Community pitches

Work on community pitches at the Revoe Sports Village has been the subject of delays since the granting of planning permission on January 2023, however hopes are high that the development will get underway in March 2025 with a projected completion date of January 2026. This development will include a fully enclosed 5-a-side and 11-a-side artificial grass pitch, each fully floodlit and with a storage building and changing rooms.
