Huge crowds expected for 2024 Blackpool Air Show

Hundreds of thousands of spectators will be looking to the skies along Blackpool’s famous promenade next month for the hugely popular annual Blackpool Air Show.

Red Arrows

Blackpool Air Show will take place on the weekend of 10th and 11th August 2024 with visitors lining the seafront for the iconic event. Indeed, it is anticipated that upwards of 350,000 people will attend the event over the two days to see displays from the world-famous Red Arrows as well as many other aircraft. The best news of all is that this event is still completely free to attend and tickets aren’t needed!

Thrilling Flying Displays

While there’s some thrilling flying displays planned for the weekend, there’s plenty of action on the ground too with numerous attractions such as stalls, food and drink outlets and entertainment at the Air Show Village. This will be situated on the Tower Headland and will be open between the hours of 10am and 6pm on both days of the Air Show.

Best Views of the Action

As well as the Red Arrows, the crowds will be treated to displays by the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as well as the RAF Typhoon which is a front line jet capable of speeds in excess of 1400mph. The best views of the 2024 Blackpool Air Show will be along the promenade and many head to the North Pier and central Pier for the best vantage and photography points. Note that flying displays are subject to alteration in the case adverse weather or operational commitments.
