Blackpool has been named as one of the top places in the UK in which to take a winter break, a recent study highlighting the affordability of the resort compared to other destinations in the UK.

Blackpool is very much a year-round seaside resort with much to see and do throughout the winter months, however a study by Hot Tub Breaks has highlighted the town’s suitability for those looking for an affordable winter break. Indeed, the Lancashire resort scored extremely highly for affordability, a hotel room in the town costing an average of £72.18 per night with a three-course meal costing just £45 for two people. Blackpool’s popular beaches were also regarded as a top winter attraction, while the famous Blackpool Illuminations attracted huge numbers of visitors to the town up to and including the festive period.

Families of all ages

Throughout the winter months, Blackpool continues to welcome families of all ages who are attracted by the great variety of activities such as Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Tower Circus, the Illuminations, Sea Life Blackpool and the three piers.
