Blackpool family attractions with late opening times
Almost every single UK seaside resort begins to wind down for the winter months but like a Duracell battery, Blackpool just keeps on going and going thanks to its ever-popular annual illuminations which attracts visitors throughout the winter.
The Blackpool Illuminations will once again ensure that millions of families will continue to head to the popular seaside resort, even though the warm summer days are likely a thing of the past as far as 2023 is concerned. The six miles of spectacular lighting displays will shine bright each and every night until January 1st 2024 but there’s more than just illuminations for families to enjoy, Blackpool home to numerous family-friendly attractions open until after the sun goes down.
Indeed, many of these attractions are indoors and can be enjoyed even when the weather outside is dull and dreary, a great pit-stop for visitors to the illuminations. While the lights will shine most nights until 10:30pm (midnight on weekends), many other attractions keep their doors open until 8pm or even later on selected days of the week.
Blackpool’s Piers
While access to Blackpool’s three piers throughout the winter is entirely dependant on the weather conditions, many of the rides and stalls will remain open until mid-November. The South Pier, central Pier and North Pier are great for people watching, playing arcade games or even grabbing yourself a tasty fish ‘n’ chips, all three open until late on most nights with 24 hour access even when all the shops and stalls have closed for the night.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Blackpool Pleasure Beach will be open throughout October and will feature late openings between 13th and 31st October. Here you can enjoy some of the best rides after dark, an ideal chance to enjoy the thrills of the park alongside a visit to the illuminations which run alongside.
