The world-famous Blackpool Illuminations draw thousands of visitors to the town each year and 2023 promises to be no exception. Indeed hotel bookings are already much increased on last season and the indications are that this will be a bumper season. The 2022 illuminations attracted record crowds and this year’s spectacle will start on 1st September and continue until 1st January 2024.

Described as one of the greatest free attractions in the world, Blackpool Illuminations have been part of the scene since 1879 and over one million magical bulbs provide a shimmering sea of light along the promenade, all the way to Bispham.
