Further Afield

While visitors are spoilt for choice in terms of attractions and events in Blackpool, there is also much to see and do in the surrounding areas. With so much right on the doorstep, it often pays to pay a visit to some of the surrounding towns, villages and countryside.

Places such as Fleetwood and Lytham St Annes have a more sedate and genteel feel than Blackpool itself although there is still much to do in these seaside towns. Indeed visitors to Fleetwood and Cleveleys can enjoy a direct tram ride from Blackpool town centre with the journey taking less than 20 minutes, while Lytham St Annes (which really consists of two neighbouring seaside towns) can be reached by bus within 25 minutes.
