Who doesn’t love a zoo? The millions of visitors passing through Blackpool Zoo every year certainly do and having been around for 50 years, this extremely popular attraction is certain to prove a hit in 2022.

What makes Blackpool Zoo one of the best in the country? Simple. Here you will get the closest encounters with the animals, friendly, approachable and knowledgable staff, excellent facilities and an attraction which truly is fun for all the family. At Blackpool you will see the only gorillas in the north-west of England and an amazing sea lion display, while you can see over 1000 different animals here in 37 acres of beautiful parkland. From aardvarks to elephants, camels to giraffes, they’re all here waiting for you.

This is an attraction that the whole family can enjoy all day long, however if you are planning a whole day visit it is vital than you plan carefully for your food and drink. In this regard, Blackpool Zoo is very well equipped and visitors can enjoy the excellent Lake View Cafe which offers a range of hot and cold snacks such as salads, burgers, pizzas, chips, hot dogs and of course, ice cream. New for 2022, the cafe will also be offering a Subway sandwich shop and this will be the first ever at a UK zoo.

Visitors can also enjoy a range of other food and drink options such as Starbucks and the Nawala Street Food Asian outlet. Various ice cream kiosks are also available around the park and there are picnic tables aplenty for those who wish to bring their own snacks and drink.

Blackpool Zoo is open throughout the year although admission times vary between the winter and summer months. In January to March inclusive, the Zoo is open between 10am and 4:45pm each day, however from 1st April to 6th November the park stays open from 10am to 5:45pm. In November and December the zoo if open from 10:00 to 3:45pm.
