Thrilling line-up for 2022 Blackpool Air Show

The two-day 2022 Blackpool Air Show is just a little over two months away and the event will feature some thrilling aerial displays from a varied range of aircraft, both civil and military. The Air Show has been absent from the skies for the past two years but it will return with a bang on 13th and 14th August 2022 with a confirmed line-up which includes the Red Arrows, Chinook, Typhoon, BoB Memorial Flight, Strikemaster, Muscle Pitts stunt plane and AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers.

A number of these aeroplanes featured in the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations last weekend and they will play a big part in the Blackpool Airshow later this summer.

The entertainment isn’t just in the skies however with the aerial extravaganza being complemented by a range of stalls, food outlets and other attractions at ground level. There is an Air Show Village on the seafront and this is being sponsored by leading family entertainment centre Coral Island.

Coral Island spokesman Jeff MacNamara said: “We are delighted to become the first sponsor of the Air Show Village working in partnership with VisitBlackpool. As one of Blackpool’s largest family venues, Coral Island is proud to support fantastic events like the annual Air Show. We look forward to the excitement this event will bring to the town.”

The Blackpool Air Show is one of the biggest events taking place at the seaside resort and this year the event is expected to draw crowds in excess of 100,000 over the two days.
