A new big cat facility will open at Blackpool Zoo in 2023, this state-of-the-art facility designed to give visitors outstanding views of the resident tigers and lions, both inside and outside.

2023 will represent a major milestone for one of Blackpool’s most famous structures, the North Pier set to celebrate its 160th year of operation since opening in 1863. Over 20,000 people turned up to walk along the pier on the year it was opened and visitors today can enjoy a great range of attractions and food/drink outlets along its wooden boardwalk.

A new four-star Holiday Inn will open on Talbot Road in 2023, giving visitors to Blackpool a wider choice with regard to accommodation throughout the year.

In 2023 a new ‘Showtown Museum’ will open its doors to visitors. This £13 million scheme on the promenade will be showcasing Blackpool’s rich and varied entertainment history.

Visitors and residents alike can enjoy one of the UK’s biggest IMAX screens when it opens as part of a multi-cinema development in Blackpool in 2023. This huge screen will be 19.8 metres wide and 10.8 metres high, while it will be the centrepiece of the new cinema under construction in Tower Street as part of the Houndshill Shopping Centre extension.
