Blackpool Pleasure Beach to celebrate Jubilee with late night rides and fireworks
Red, while and blue will be the dominant colours at Blackpool Pleasure Beach over the weekend of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee when the venue celebrates the historic occasion with a range of live entertainment and other unique attractions. The ‘Jubilation Celebration’ events at Blackpool Pleasure Beach will last from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June and visitors to the park will see the area completely transformed with banners, bunting, flags and decorations with a Royal Family theme to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.
Perhaps the best news of all for visitors is that Blackpool Pleasure Beach will be offering extended opening hours and rides such as The Big One and Infusion will be open from 10am to 10pm on 4h June, that’s a full twelve hours of thrills and excitement. As if that wasn’t enough, the celebrations will be brought to a close with a massive fireworks display at 10pm.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach will also be supporting many other events in the Blackpool area over the extended Bank Holiday weekend and this includes the Jubilee Tram Parade which gets underway at 2.30pm on Thursday, 2nd June. There will also be a beacon lit on the top of the famous Casino building.
Managing Director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Amanda Thompson OBE, said: “I have great respect for her Majesty and she has been inspirational to the nation during her 70 years on the throne. I am delighted that we have the opportunity to celebrate this momentous occasion here at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and have provided our guests with some amazing activities over this very special weekend.”
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is open every day until Sunday, 27th November.
